Paul Floerke completed his studies in architecture at the Leibniz University in Hanover, Germany. Professors Gerhart Laage and Eduardo Vargas guided his PhD thesis, which focused on the design and construction of office buildings and spaces.
As a practicing architect, he has considerable experience with the varied dynamics of residential, commercial, institutional and industrial design.
Dr. Floerke was nominated for the Teaching Award at the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Institute for Design and Building Construction at the TU Dortmund, Germany. His main teaching activities there involved a two-semester studio program supplemented by weekly tutorials. Teaching teams consisted of an architectural teacher assisted by a member of an engineering institute at TU Dortmund.
In addition to numerous opportunities as a guest lecturer in Europe and abroad, he was also responsible for overseeing interdisciplinary departmental research at Dortmund TU. He is currently a professor of the Department of Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), Canada.
